Frisco Collegiate Academy at Memorial High School starts in the 2027-28 school year, with information sessions set for Nov. 11 and Nov. 17.

Frisco ISD families will soon have a four-year option that combines high school with college coursework. The district and Collin College are launching Frisco Collegiate Academy at Memorial High School, a dual-credit track designed so students finish with both a high school diploma and an associate of science degree.

Starting in the 2027-28 school year, students accepted into the academy will be based at Memorial High School and take their classes on that campus. The program is open to current eighth graders. According to the district's website, it offers a structured, four-year academic plan and access to resources from both Frisco ISD and Collin College. Students can still take part in extracurricular activities while they complete their college work.

Cunningham, quoted in a district release, described the goal this way: "The collegiate academy gives students the best of both worlds – a head start on college and the full high school experience." Cunningham also noted that the district already works closely with Collin College, but that many students do not begin dual-credit courses until late in high school. Frisco ISD and Collin College have offered dual-credit courses together since 1987, according to earlier Community Impact reporting.

Families who want to learn more can attend one of two information sessions. The first is a 6 p.m. webinar on Nov. 11, and the second is a 6 p.m. event on Nov. 17 at Memorial High School.
