Girls Inc. of Tarrant County brings free Day of the Girl to Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Girls Inc. of Tarrant County is inviting the public to celebrate girls who are strong, smart and bold at its annual Day of the Girl, coming this year to The Grove at Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, according to the garden's event calendar. NBC 5 DFW reports it will offer an afternoon of shopping, wellness and community activities the whole family can enjoy. About 50 vendors are expected, including young entrepreneurs selling through Girls Inc.'s EmpowerHER Market. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden notes it is free to explore the market.
The schedule includes a girl-led rally and a panel discussion, plus a sound bath and yoga, so visitors may want to bring a mat. Games and activities will be available for all ages.
The celebration has moved around in recent years. Last year's edition drew hundreds of girls and community members to Texas Wesleyan University on Oct. 4, 2025, the Fort Worth Report reported. That day included high school drum lines and a noon rally led by girls. In 2023, more than 1,600 people gathered at Burnett Park Plaza in downtown Fort Worth for the event, according to the same outlet.
To get to The Grove, use the garden's West Entrance parking lot at 3408 W. Freeway, which sits off the I-30 access road between University Drive and Montgomery Street.
