Downtown Fort Worth will host the Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade on Wednesday, November 11, starting at 11 a.m. The event is designed to recognize people who have served in the armed forces, as well as those who continue to serve.
This year's procession carries the theme "Saluting Our Nation…250 Years of Veterans in Service," tied to the nation's 250th anniversary. It also marks 107 years of honoring veterans in Fort Worth. Sgt. William Owens, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, will serve as grand marshal.
The lineup includes remarks from Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, school marching bands, and a military flyover. A route map is available, and people who want to support, volunteer, or take part as participants can find details on the parade's website, fw2026parade.org.
NBC 5, Telemundo 39, and the Tarrant County Veterans Council are jointly inviting the public to attend. The council was chartered in 1971 to help veterans service organizations coordinate their work for area veterans, their survivors, and their families.
