Three Bishop Arts restaurants named to Michelin Guide Texas 2026 Recommended list

Oak Cliff is in the Michelin Guide again. Three Bishop Arts District restaurants, Lucia, Stock & Barrel and Written by the Seasons, made the Recommended list in the 2026 Michelin Guide Texas, the Oak Cliff Advocate reported.

Stock & Barrel and Written by the Seasons were both on the list before. Stock & Barrel, on West Davis Street, opened in 2014 and got its first Michelin Guide spot a decade later. It has now been recognized three years in a row: 2024, 2025 and 2026. Michelin's entry calls Jon Stevens's restaurant "the perfect neighborhood spot." Written by the Seasons, a seasonal restaurant run by a husband-and-wife team, was also named in the first Texas guide in 2024.

Lucia is new to this category. The Italian restaurant on North Bishop Avenue, run by chef-owner David Uygur and his wife, Jennifer, earned a Bib Gourmand in 2024 and 2025. That award honors good food at a good value. CultureMap Dallas reported that Lucia moved from Bib Gourmand to Recommended this year. Michelin's entry says Lucia's dishes "favor clarity and comfort over excess." It also calls the wine list "thoughtfully assembled."

Michelin gives the Recommended label to restaurants with high-quality cooking, judged by the same standards inspectors use for stars. This year's Texas guide is the third edition. Across Dallas, Mamani and Tatsu Dallas kept their stars, and Resident Taqueria in Lake Highlands earned a new Bib Gourmand.
